2019 Player to Watch: Daryus Skinner

Next on our list is Winston-Salem State DB Daryus Skinner. Skinner is a ball magnet as a free safety, he has a knack for being around the ball when it is in the air. In only 9 games Skinner had 30 tackles and 11 INTs last season making him a lot of different outlets Division 2 Defensive Player of the Year, as well as a Division 2 All-American and All-CIAA first-team member. He works really well as single high safety because of his range and play recognition. His quick feet make it easy for him to get where he needs to be to make a play. Coming off a season where he led all of D2 football in interceptions, Skinner is looking to prove this season he belongs on the next level.
