2019 Player to Watch: Franklin "Mac" McCain III

Next on our 2019 Players to Watch List is NCAT CB Franklin “Mac” McCain. McCain has been a starter on NCAT’s defense since his freshman year and made an impact immediately. He has good size and great hips. He presses receivers at the line and is very smart when it comes to route recognition. McCain can get to his spot before the ball is out of the QB’s hands because of his advanced instincts. He’s also a playmaker with the ball in his hand with three pick sixes under his belt. In his last full season in 2017, McCain was the team's second-leading tackler with 50 total tackles and 6 interceptions along with 14 passes defended. McCain projects very well for the NFL, don’t be surprised if he declares for the draft after a good season.
