2019 Players to Watch: Virginia Union SS Quantaye Battle

Next on our Players to Watch list is Virginia Union SS Quantaye Battle. Battle is a 6’2 210 Lbs safety that has the physicality of a linebacker. Battle roams the middle of the secondary like a lion ready to pounce. He moves good for a bigger safety and can cover slot receivers and running backs. He excels playing both in the box and up high and disrupts the run game very well in the box. Last season he amassed 37 tackles and 8 PD. He also was All-CIAA second team member last season. Battle hard-hitting ability and physicality in coverage is hard not to compare to former Seattle Seahawks safety Cam Chancellor, he’s certainly someone you have to account for each play. Expect to Battle to shine in his senior season.
